Youth @ Lamar
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 NIV)
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12 NIV)
The purpose of our Youth Ministry is to invite everyone into a relationship with Jesus, to equip them through encouragement and fellowship, to challenge them to grow and discover God’s vision.
Our purpose is to send them into the world to reach others.
At Lamar, we work to develop youth leadership through promoting spiritual growth, encouraging stewardship, and strengthening a sense of belonging in the body of Christ. We embrace our diverse backgrounds, and we utilize our different experiences and cultures as important assets to our ministry. Each of our youth members is given ample opportunity and importance, in order to develop, nurture, and sustain them to become leaders of youth ministry with the help of our networks of support and resources.
We reach out to youth both within and beyond our church, and through our ministry and evangelism, we strive to facilitate the spiritual growth of our community and our future.
Sunday morning Bible study begins at 10:10 am, and Wednesday night gatherings start at 6 pm.
