Pastor Harold Roan came to Lamar in 2019. Harold was called to full-time ministry fifteen years ago after being a teacher and principal for almost 20 years. He served as pastor at Agua Dulce Baptist Church in Agua Dulce, Texas and served eight years at Community Baptist Church in Dublin, Texas.

Harold has a Bachelor of Science degree in Government and a Master of Educational Administration degree from Tarleton State University, as well as a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Harold and his wife, Jana, have been married for 30 years, and their children are Jaylan and husband Bailey Moore, Kenzie and husband Brandon Esterhuizen, and Ryan. Jaylan and Bailey recently added the Roans’ first granddaughter, Beatrix Bailey, to the family.

Carlos has been at Lamar Baptist since March 2013 and oversees Lamar En Español. Each week Carlos preaches and teaches Bible study in Spanish.

He and his wife Carmen have three children, Ivan, Kevin, and Karla.

Bailey is a Wichita Falls native and has been a member of Lamar since 2019. He began his studies at Midwestern State and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Studies from Dallas Baptist University. He completed DownLine Ministries in Memphis, TN, a 9-month Discipleship program created by Dallas Theological Seminary graduates.

Bailey served as a Campus Missionary Intern for Tarleton State University and after created his own ministry on campus focusing on students not being reached by existing ministries while his wife Jaylan served as BSM intern. Both he and his wife spent the following year helping establish a BSM at Collin College in North Dallas before moving to Wichita Falls.

Bailey is passionate about missions, raising up leaders, and making disciples. Throughout college he learned under many amazing church leaders in the Dallas and Stephenville areas learning how to church plant and establish vibrant student ministries. He and his wife Jaylan have their son Remy in Heaven and sweet baby Beatrix here on Earth.

He is thrilled to join the team at Lamar!

Denise and her husband Woody have been at Lamar since March of 2013.

Denise has been working with and organizing Vacation Bible Schools since 1998. She has taught Sunday School for various ages of children, directed Girls in Action for 10+ years, and has been spearheading the Children’s Ministry at Lamar since 2013.

Denise and Woody have four children and are life-long residents of North Texas. Prior to retirement, Denise spent 30+ years working for the District Attorney’s office.
